Founded by Ali in 2008, Sideways Rain Strategies specialises in media and community relations, issues managementand communications program planning and oversight. Sideways Rain can identify communications opportunities to help your company succeed. It has a track record of delivering effective, clear and compelling solutions for complex communications challenges.

Based in North Vancouver, Sideways Rain Strategies is committed to corporate social responsibility, and invests in causes and initiatives that benefit the local community.

Ali Hounsell, Principal

Ali Hounsell was a producer at one of B.C.’s top-rated news talk radio programs before joining a high-profile organization where she managed public and media relations and a multi-faceted community investment program. She has a history of delivering exceptional results in fast-paced, results-driven environmentsand founded Sideways Rain Strategies in 2008 to bring her strategic management and communications savvy to a range of client accounts.

Raised in Vancouver, Ali now lives in North Vancouver and has endured more than her share of sideways rain.
